Don’t Let ASA Fool You

At the beginning of our organizing efforts, ASA used scare tactics to intimidate and fool us. One scare tactic the company used was telling workers that because of the economic down-turn, now is not a good time to form a union. What workers at ASA need to understand however, is that a company like ASA is never going to tell us that it’s a good time to form a union. That’s because unions take control away from management. Contrary to what ASA management might say, less favorable economic time are when unions are most needed because a union contract protects everyone. Without a union contract, the company can determine who goes and who stays. With a contract, we are all protected.

It is important to remember that it is our human and civil right to form or join a union of our choice. I want to join the Teamsters and I hope you will join me in our organizing efforts.
